It’s Honda’s shiny facelift for this popular car
Forget the rest – Honda Malaysia is proud to reveal the latest Honda Civic, featuring Next Generation Advanced Safety Technology, the Honda SENSING*.
Launched in an exclusive viewing event with industry professionals and the media, this marks the fourth model in Honda Malaysia’s product line that is equipped with Honda SENSING. This completes the SENSING family lineup consisting of the Honda CR-V and Honda Accord in 2017, Honda Odyssey in 2018 and the New Honda Civic in 2020.
Fun fact: The 10th generation Civic is noted to have 72% market share of the C-segment category in 2019.
This accomplishment was announced during the grand reveal, alongside how the sedan is the current most sought-after model in Honda, with more than 58,000 units sold since its introduction in 2016. And it doesn’t stop there – the Civic has achieved total sales of more than 135,000 units in Malaysia as of January 2020.
“With the launch of this innovative New Civic on 26th February 2020, which is equipped with the full suite of Honda SENSING* and added advanced safety features, we are proud to further raise the benchmark in the segment. I believe that the New Civic is a complete car for C-segment buyers with its D-segment features,” commented Honda Malaysia Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Toichi Ishiyama during the launch event.
Set to be the car that will make you forget the rest, Honda continues to offer the latest Civic range in three variants – 1.8S, 1.5TC and 1.5TC-P.
Members of the media who were present at the event attended a product presentation in groups where they were introduced to the New Civic and had the opportunity to get up close and personal with the car. Those who wanted to take pictures and videos were given ample time to do so. All in all, attendees enjoyed themselves and the event was well-received.
Further raising the benchmark for sedans, the latest facelift of this popular model now comes with the full suite of Honda SENSING* advanced safety features. Honda SENSING is Honda’s driver-assist solution towards achieving a collision-free society, ultimately ensuring road safety for everyone. In simpler terms, not only does it look and feel amazing, it’ll keep you safe and snug while you cruise around town.
Another feature to highlight in the New Civic is the Honda LaneWatch**, which is Honda’s camera-based safety technology that supplements the side mirror and enhances the side view while reducing blind spot for safer changing of lanes. It is also the only and first model in the segment to offer this innovative feature.
