Selangor, 18 August 2022 – Honda Malaysia (or the Company) today announced that the newly launched All-New HR-V has been delivered to its very first proud owner, Ms. Nurul Hafida Binti Mhd Jais at an official handover ceremony held at MJN Motors Sdn. Bhd. in Cheras, Selangor. In addition to being the first customer in Malaysia to own the All‑New HR‑V RS e:HEV, Ms. Nurul Hafida was gifted with Honda Authorized Accessories, Ultra Glass Body Coating and Honda Official Merchandise valued at RM5,700 as token of appreciation from Honda Malaysia to celebrate the milestone.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, Honda Malaysia Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Hironobu Yoshimura said, “The response we have received for the All‑New HR‑V has been overwhelming and we believe this new model will be sensational once again as it did in the past. Today, we are excited to deliver the All‑New HR‑V to the first owner, Ms. Nurul Hafida. In addition to this momentous occasion, Honda Malaysia has delivered over 1,300 units of the All‑New HR‑V within one month of its launch. We would like to take this opportunity to convey our sincere gratitude to all our customers for their continuous support to the Honda brand.”
Present at the event, which was held at Honda dealer, MJN Motors Sdn. Bhd., Cheras, were Ms. Nurul Hafida together with her family. Ms. Nurul Hafida said, “I did my research even before the official launch of the All‑New HR‑V in Malaysia. The exterior styling and looks caught my attention and that’s when I decided to book the model the moment it was opened for booking. I have been anticipating the delivery of my new car. I was pleasantly surprised when I found out that I was the first customer to receive the car. And what’s even more exciting is the additional surprise of receiving gifts from Honda! I am looking forward to taking my family out and about on my new ride.”

The exterior of the All-New HR-V RS has received a full transformation to appear stylish and premium. The front outlook appears dominant with a New Sporty Front Grille Design and the rear features a bold design comprising LED Taillight Strip that elevates the coupe-like styling. The 18-inch Sporty Alloy Wheels further complements the overall exterior package.
For the first time, the model now comes with 3 powertrains to offer more choices for customers based on their lifestyle and preferences. The 1.5L e:HEV system with Honda’s unique 2-motor hybrid system delivers 131PS of power and 253Nm of torque. Customers who seek a thrilling performance will have the option of 1.5L VTEC Turbocharged Engine which delivers 181PS and 240Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the 1.5L naturally-aspirated i-VTEC engine produces 121PS and a maximum torque of 145Nm.
The All‑New HR‑V RS interior is stylishly designed to provide undisputed comfort with a touch of modern feel. Carrying that look and feel in the cabin are features such leather upholstery*¹, Sports Pedals, Dual Zone Auto Air Conditioning and Deceleration Selector Paddle. An 8‑inch Display Audio with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™*² Connectivity comes standard in the model. Honda has also introduced the Air Diffusion System for better cooling circulation for all passengers.
Another advanced feature is the Hands-Free Power Tailgate with Walkaway Close function, available in the RS variant. In this feature, the tailgate will close automatically when the driver moves away from the vehicle after the ‘Walkaway Close Switch’ is switched ON. As an added value in protection for All-New HR-V customers, Honda SENSING, is made standard across all variants.
