Honda rallies together to alleviate burden of customers affected by flood disaster

Petaling Jaya, 17 January 2007 - Honda Malaysia Sdn Bhd is reaching out to their flood affected customers by providing special support privileges to them, especially in repairing, restoring and servicing their Honda vehicles. Customers affected by the southern region flood disaster will be given an unprecedented 25% discount for purchase of car parts for repairs.

Honda hopes to reduce the burden of repair cost for these customers, by providing special discounts when they visit Honda 3S Centres for repairs. This offer is open to Honda customers, inclusive of both the Honda Privilege and Non-Privilege cardholders, and will commence from 10 to 31 January 2007.

Honda Malaysia's Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr Yasuhide Mizuno said, "Honda Malaysia empathize with the suffering of the flood victims and this effort is part of our commitment to meet the needs of our customers in Malaysia, especially in this time of crisis. This special support privileges are in line with Honda's philosophy of giving back to the society wherever we exist. We are thankful for the support we have received from our customers in the southern region and we want to come alongside them at this time of need."

Honda owners can bring their flood affected cars to any of the seven Honda 3S Centres and priority will be given to them in spare parts order and service.

The seven Honda 3S centres are:
i) Yong Ming Motor Sdn Bhd, Johor Bahru
ii) Sri Sutera Sdn Bhd, Johor Bahru
iii) KM Lim Motor Sdn Bhd, Batu Pahat, Johor
iv) Tay Auto Services Sdn Bhd, Muar,Johor
v) Iptimas Motor Sdn Bhd, Kluang, Johor
vi) Haslita Motor Sdn Bhd, Segamat, Johor
vii) Kah Motor Sdn Bhd, Jalan Semabuk, Melaka

When the first wave of floods hit the southern region late last year, Honda Malaysia acted immediately, contributing RM30,000 in monetary and food aid to the flood victims in Malacca. The cheque of RM20,000 for the Malacca Flood Victims Fund was presented to the Chief Minister of Malacca, YAB Datuk Seri Hj Mohd Ali bin Mohd Rustam on Dec 20, 2006. Food supplies amounting to RM10,000 were personally sent on behalf of Honda Malaysia by its General Manager of Administration, Tuan Mansor Ibrahim to nine flood relief centres in the Alor Gajah district.
