Maintenance
tips during Phase 1 of National Recovery Plan

Even a parked Honda needs care. A prolonged spell of inactivity could affect the efficiency of your vehicle.

TIP 1
Park in the shade

Paint and interior parts that are exposed to direct sunlight (such as the dashboard) may lose their sheen.
If you don’t have access to covered parking, use a car cover or bed sheet to protect your Honda!

TIP 2
Keep the
tyres inflated

A car parked for more than a couple of weeks will start showing significant damage to its tyres. Make sure you keep the tyres inflated to the recommended pressure at all times.

TIP 3
Battery check

The most common problem arising from not using a car is a discharged battery. Start the car every
4-5 days and keep the engine running for 10-15 minutes
(do not rev unnecessarily).
This will help to recharge the battery as well as lubricate the engine.

TIP 4
Check that all’s good under the hood

To ensure your Honda stays in tip-top condition and ready to go once Phase 1 of National Recovery Plan lifts, make sure fluid levels are monitored. This includes engine oil, brake fluid, engine coolant, power steering and wiper washer fluids.
You may also want to remove any debris trapped in your grille or hood.

TIP 5
Clean your
interiors regularly

When was the last time you cleaned inside your vehicle? Leftover waste can easily become an environment for bacteria to thrive.
To prevent insects and unwanted pests from entering your car, be sure to dispose of trash immediately, and vacuum regularly to remove any dirt or food bits.

As a citizen, let's keep our hands clean, masks on and stay home to aid in the nationwide effort to reduce the number of COVID-19 cases. We isolate now so we may be reunited again in full later.
