Honda Malaysia Recognised for Excellence with 3 Awards in the inaugural Asian Auto - VCA Awards 2008

Honda Malaysia emerged top winner among 33 automotive companies in the inaugural Asian Auto - Vehicle Certification Agency (VCA) Auto Industry Awards 2008 held on July 5, 2008, taking home 3 awards.

Specifically, Honda Malaysia won the Best Handling MPV with the Honda Stream, Best Local Assembly Luxury Sedan for the All-New Honda Accord 2.4 and Best After Sales Experience among all car companies. The former two awards are recognition for product excellence while the other award specifically identifies outstanding after sales experience.

Honda Malaysia Sdn Bhd Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Mr. Atsushi Fujimoto said, "These awards are recognition of Honda's effort in producing high quality products and services at reasonable price, as well as our commitment towards customer satisfaction. Whenever someone purchases a Honda, we see it as the start of a life-long relationship and hence, we put a lot of focus on creating a good after sales experience for our value customers. Winning in these categories is a highlight for us and recognition of the efforts of Honda associates, dealers and business partners."

Asian Auto - VCA Awards focus on real value propositions of each vehicle category and the true intrinsic value of each vehicle judged.

The wins reflect the quality of the products and customer acceptance towards them - Honda Stream which was launched in November 2007 has sold more than 1,200 units (as at June 2008). Meanwhile, the All-New Honda Accord sold closed to 2,300 units and made more than 3,000 units back orders within just two and a half month since its launch.

Besides Asian Auto - VCA awards, Honda Malaysia also recently took home the Reader's Digest Asia Gold Trusted Brand 2008 in the car category in Malaysia in April 2008.

The recognitions have spurred Honda to continue in its efforts to provide products and services of the highest quality at reasonable price, and continue strives to achieve No.1 in Customer Satisfaction.
