CR-V - Safety

Run on Safety

What makes the CR-V's high-end capabilities accessible to everyday drivers are it's safety systems. Leading the technology frontier, the Honda CR-V features G-Force Control (G-Con) which calculates impact energy to predetermine areas of the car that shold crumple and which ones that shouldn't.

  • Front Dual i-SRS Airbag System

    Front Dual i-SRS Airbag System

The safety system is augmented by two Intelligent Sensor Control (i-SRS) front airbags. The dual stage, dual threshold design measures impact energy and seat belt use to ensure the safest possible deployment.

  • Improved G-Force Control Technology

    Improved G-Force Control Technology

G-Force Control absorbs crash energy through crumple zones while maintaining a survival zone for occupants.

But now, the latest evolution of this technology goes beyond this initial purpose. By re-examining the frame structure, collision energy can be even more effectively absorbed and dispersed. In addition, consideration of the CR-V's "Crash compatibility" with other vehicles seeks to enhance self-protective performance while reducing the extent of car-to-car collision damage.

  • Active Head Rest

    Active Head Rest

In a rear-end collision, front active headrests help mitigate neck shock. A link mechanism in the seatback moves the headrest forward and upward to support the occupant's head.

ABS with EBD

The 4-channel ABS with EBD independently modulates braking power at each wheel, allowing the rear wheels to react independently while cornering. Electronic Brakeforce Distribution proportions brake power to the rear wheels based on algorithms that determine vehicle weight distribution. They work together to give the CR-V greater stopping power, stability and safety.
